How do I save something?

In the app you are using, tap Share on the post. Some apps then ask you to tap Share to. On your phone's share sheet, pick Heapzero. If you do not see it, scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More.

You can also copy a link and tap the + button in Heapzero to add it.

Which links work?

Public videos and photo posts are read, along with the text of short posts and most articles and recipe pages on the web. A page that is private, paywalled, or asks not to be read stays saved as a plain link you can open later.

Why did a link fail?

The item tells you why. The usual reasons:

  • The post is private or was removed. Heapzero can only read public posts. This will not fix itself.
  • That kind of link is not supported yet, or the page cannot be read. It stays saved as a plain link you can open.
  • AI is turned off. Without your consent, items are kept as plain links. You can turn it on in Settings, under Summaries and search, and earlier saves will be read too.
  • A daily limit was reached. Heapzero reads up to 30 items per person per day, and some sources allow a limited number of reads per day. Try again tomorrow.
  • The platform did not answer. Open the item and tap Try again.

If a public post keeps failing, send the link to support@heapzero.com.

How do reminders work?

A reminder is a notification about one thing you saved, with a short reason why now. Reminders only arrive inside the free times you set in Settings (for example weekday evenings), in your time zone. The default is up to 3 a day; you can choose fewer or more.

How do I turn reminders off?

In Heapzero, open Settings and turn off the Reminders switch, or remove your free times. You can also turn notifications off for Heapzero in iOS Settings, then Notifications, then Heapzero.

What do "fade", "Later" and "Let go" mean?
  • Fade: items you do not touch for 14 days leave your heap on their own, so it never piles up. They are not deleted.
  • Later: brings an item back at a time you pick.
  • Let go: removes an item. You can bring it back from the Logbook for 30 days; after that it is deleted for good.
How do I stop AI processing?

Open Settings, then Summaries and search, and tap Withdraw consent. New items are saved as plain links, and the search data made from your items is deleted. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Settings, then Delete account, and confirm. Your account and everything you saved are deleted from our live servers straight away, and Heapzero's access to your Apple ID is revoked. Copies in our backups age out within about 14 days.

Cannot get into the app? Email privacy@heapzero.com and we will delete it for you.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Email privacy@heapzero.com and we will send everything we hold about your account in a machine-readable file within 30 days.

Is Heapzero on Android?

Not yet. Heapzero is coming to iPhone first, with Android later.
